18-Old Arrested For Vandalising LED Road Stud Lights On Newly Renovated Lagos Third Mainland Bridge

An 18-year-old individual named Mubarak Abdullahi has been apprehended by the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for vandalizing LED road stud lights on the recently renovated Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.

The suspect was caught in the act of removing 10 LED road stud lights that had been installed to enhance visibility for road users. RRS operatives patrolling the bridge made the arrest around 10 am.

In a statement on Friday by RRS, the suspect was caught red-handed around 10 am earlier in the day by the operatives patrolling the bridge.

This incident took place just a month after President Tinubu officially opened the newly refurbished Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State. Despite the 24-hour security patrol by bike riders deployed to the area weeks prior by RRS commander CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi to monitor traffic and safeguard the infrastructure on the bridge.

This occurrence underscores the significance of upholding security measures and safeguarding public property in this country.
