The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Abba Patrick Moro, has strongly condemned the clash that broke out between the people of Ijegwu in Obi LGA and Otobi-Akpegede of Otukpo LGA leading to the wanton destruction of lives and properties worth millions.
Senator Moro who promised to work with the relevant stakeholders to end all the carnages in Benue South Senatorial District. appealed to the warring communities in Otukpo and Obi Local Government Areas to sheathe their swords and allow peace to reign.
The Senator assured he’s working with the relevant stakeholders to restore peace in the affected communities.
Also, Senator Moro condemned the attack on Apa communities by suspected herdsmen, which resulted in the death of many villagers.
Moro said the unprovoked attacks remained condemnable and unacceptable. He charged security agents to go after the murderers and bring them to book.
He said he would continue to work with the relevant stakeholders to put to a permanent end to all the killings in Benue South Senatorial District.
