The Nigerian Senate has reinstated Senator Abdul Ningi, who was suspended on March 12, 2024, following allegations of budget padding.
The decision to lift the suspension was made on Tuesday after a motion was moved by Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro.
Senator Moro apologized on behalf of Ningi and took full responsibility for his actions, paving the way for his reinstatement. Ningi’s suspension was initially due to comments he made during an interview, where he alleged budget padding.
