Despite Defections of Obi and Kwakwanso from PDP, Atiku Still Won the Election – Bwala.

A chieftain of the PDP, Daniel Bwala has stated that the defections of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso from the PDP did not significantly affect the party’s performance in the presidential election. Bwala who is also the spokesperson for PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar made this statement during an interview with Arise TV.

In the said interview, Bwala was told that “APC has suggested that the biggest mistake PDP made was to allow Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to leave the party otherwise victory would have been the PDP’s today so the splinters fractured your chances”.

In his response, Bwala argued that Obi and Kwankwaso’s decisions to leave the PDP did not affect Atiku’s chances of winning the presidential election as people have suggested. He said APC’s Bola Tinubu didn’t win the presidential election and the PDP will prove in court that Atiku won the election. In his words “Let’s take it on the evidence of their statements. You said because we have splinter groups that is why we didn’t win, so what is the result as is presently argued? If you go to IReV as I speak, the result finally uploaded on the IReV is markedly different from the result announced by INEC and if you go by that result in IReV, APC didn’t win. So the fact that there were splinter groups and people left us has still not been able to stop us from winning the election which is why we are in court to prove it”.
