The third Republic President of the Senate and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ameh Ebute, has advised Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize competence, track records of service as well as integrity in the formation of his cabinet
Ebute, who advised one to questions at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, added that Nigerians are lucky to have voted Tinubu as their next President and also applauded Nigerians on how they exercised their civil rights with regards to voting a competent leader, adding that Nigerians were lucky that Bola Tinubu emerged as the President Elect.
The former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Ebute said he know Tinubu to be a result-oriented politician, who always put square pegs in square holes, hence the certainty of bringing fertile minds as his consummate team is not in doubt.
In continuation, Ebute, the Pan Nationalist reaffirmed the determination and willingness of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu to reform Agriculture and solid minerals to minimize emphasis and over-dependence on oil as the major source of revenue ‘adding that security of lives and properties of all will also be uppermost in his renewed hoped of governance’.
Ebute, however, appealed to Nigerians, to encourage the incoming administration of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu with prayers and unflinching support to enable him to deliver on his mandate and provide a dividend of democracy that will guarantee unhindered unity and development of the country.
