Tinubu Reveals His Chosen Candidate for Speaker, House Of Representative Position

Tinubu choose candidate for Speaker, House of Representative

According to a news that was published this morning from a news source, it was gathered that as the rumble over the leadership of the National Assembly festers, there are indications of fresh moves to replace Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, with another aspirant as the preferred candidate for the speakership position of the House of Representatives.

According to reports, it was gathered yesterday that, barring any last minute change of plan, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would unveil their new candidate.

While a source, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, was speaking on this development, he said that the G-6, made tremendous progress on the change because, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has conceded to drop the choice that was put forward by the outgoing speaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, in person of Tajudeen Abbass, who was initially endorsed by the APC, but Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, still insisted that the North-West geopolitical zone, must produce the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

He said, “Tinubu during meeting with G-6 revealed the person he wanted as Speaker before endorsing Abbas. So what he has personally proposed that will be unveiled on Thursday is that, he would return to his original plan of Hon. Sani Jaji because that was his choice initially, and originally before the surprise recommendation came from Femi Gbajabiamila.”

Further talking, he said Tinubu’s argument was that, Sani Jaji, was well known to him, he belonged to the G-6 and since they have resolved to support one of them (G-6), he endorsed Jaji, and this may be announced on Thursday evening.

He said, “And by way of having an inclusive arrangement, Abbas and Wase are likely to come on board as ministers to represent their states.”
