A dedicated member of the 10th National Assembly representing Bassa/Dekina Federal constituency in the 10th National Assembly, Paul Gowon Haruna has donated a traditional well to his constituency.
The national assembly member, Haruna, who has previously served as a member of the Kogi State Houses of Assembly, decided to give back to the community by initiating this constituency project.
Haruna benevolently recompensed Kogi residents with a constituency project the eruption controversy.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) member is currently facing criticism from some residents of the constituency for his choice of project.
One resident expressed disappointment by sharing pictures of the well and stating, “This is a project from a House of Representatives member representing Dekina/Bassa Federal constituency, what a shame, not even a mechanized hand pump.” Another resident echoed this sentiment, saying, “It’s clear that these politicians don’t value us, a federal lawmaker constructing a well and celebrating it as an achievement.”
